first try at an infographic (work in progress)

Whoever said ‘freelance is the hardest and best job you’ll ever have’ is right on. Especially because you wear so many hats at once…my least favorite being the ‘get new work’ hat. That’s not my strong point. I am an introvert and not good at small talk – I like to get right to the point! How I have a great (very outgoing) husband and great friends, who knows. I had a part-time retail job in Charlotte and was so bad at it. I was always at the bottom of the sales report :) So in my downtime, I try to find nonprofit organizations that need some design assistance!

For example, this piece is an infographic for a great organization here in Greenville, Loaves and Fishes. They sent over their stats and it blew me away. In 2010, they provided more than 1 million meals to the area! That is amazing. Makes me 1) appreciate EVERY meal we are blessed with and 2) sad because there were THAT many hungry people to feed and I’m sure there were more families that went without.

This postcard is the reason I do what I do – help those that go without.
